Exploring the relationship between the traditional and modern Kim Kyung Soo’s photography for Vogue Korea (2008) is not only a beautiful set of images but a comment on the relationship between clothing, national identity and globalization.

The beautifully stylish and slick photography one would expect from a Vogue editorial highlights the fashion and aesthetic value of traditional attire but beyond that I personally can’t help but be inspired by the photographs themselves given the striking painterly visuals, use of colour, tone and set dressing. Truely something to aspire too.
